Mark is Chief Executive Officer of Accume Partners. Mark also serves as the Regional Managing Director for the Northeast Region. He has over 27 years of professional and financial services experience. Mark's expertise includes financial reporting, regulatory compliance, risk management and auditing in the financial services, commercial, government and technology sectors. Mark serves international and domestic banking clients throughout the Northeast Region in the areas of internal audit, regulatory compliance, risk management and performance improvement.

Prior to Accume, Mark spent 25 years with KPMG principally serving all levels of client management in the areas of financial and operational improvement, regulatory compliance risk and internal control design. Throughout his career, Mark has spent most of his time serving clients with significant risk management and regulatory compliance initiatives ranging from Y2K, safely leveraging the internet and computer networking, the adoption of new accounting pronouncements, the establishment of internal regulatory compliance functions, and enterprise risk management initiatives, launching and enhancing internal audit functions, the adoption of Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404, and other financial services and financial reporting regulations. In addition to serving clients of all sizes, Mark has served in a variety of leadership roles while at KPMG, including building and growing the Internal Audit practice, the IT Risk practice, the Information Security practice, the Regulatory Compliance practice and the Risk Advisory practice on a regional, national and global basis, as well as serving on firm-wide strategy and operating committees. During his career, Mark has worked throughout the United States and globally, including a three-year assignment leading practices and serving clients in Asia.

In addition to serving clients, he was also controller for a newly established bank, comprised of the merger of twelve savings banks. Mark is highly experienced at understanding business opportunities and translating them into practical initiatives that improve business performance, as well as the overall control environment of his clients.

Mark is a Certified Public Accountant.  He is a member of the American Institute of CPA's and Institute of Internal Auditors. Mark is a frequent speaker and has authored articles on topics related to new and evolving regulations, risks related to financial reporting, operations and technology for financial services, and technology and manufacturing. He is a graduate of the University of Texas - Austin (BBA , Accounting).
