Jim Naber
Managing Director
James (Jim) Naber is Managing Director for the New England region where he is responsible for business development and executive management. Jim brings over 30 years’ experience in financial, regulatory, and management consulting with a specialty in the banking and financial services sector.
Throughout his career, Jim has gained extensive experience working with all aspects of governance and compliance, including experience in investment management, mutual funds, banking, insurance, and capital markets. In addition, he has gained significant expertise in regulatory compliance training while serving as liaison with various regulatory agencies.
Prior to joining Accume Partners, Jim was a partner at McGladrey & Pullen where he was responsible for Sarbanes-Oxley projects for multinational organizations, in addition to auditing, risk management, corporate governance, and management consulting. Earlier, he was a partner with KPMG, responsible for managing a national financial services practice with over $90 million in annual revenue.
Prior to KPMG, Jim was senior regulatory officer for Shawmut National Corporation, responsible for building the regulatory risk management and compliance function for the institution while under cease and desist order. In addition, he was the accounting officer for Bank of Boston, where he was responsible for financial reporting of Latin American and European branch operations.
Jim holds a bachelors degree in accounting from Providence College and an MBA in tax law from Bryant College.
